In the Odd semester 2023/2024 (September 2023), the UNY Department of Chemistry Education accepted new lecturers with the PPPK Lecturer and UNY PTNBH Lecturer schemes. The lecturer accepted is Yoga Priastomo, M.Eng with expertise in Biochemistry. He was accepted into the PPPK Lecturer pathway which will strengthen the Biochemistry Expertise Group in the UNY Chemistry Education Department. Mr Yoga completed his Bachelor's degree in the UGM Chemistry Study Program and his Master's degree in Japan.

The other new lecturer is Yunilia Nur Pratiwi, M.Pd. received from the PTNBH UNY lecturer route. Mrs. Yunilia completed her Bachelor's and Master's degrees at the Chemistry Education Study Program, State University of Malang. Ms. Yunilia is expected to strengthen the Chemical Education Expertise Group in the UNY Chemical Education Department.
