Visiting Professor: Associate Professor Dr. Daniel Tan

Every year, the Chemistry Education Study Program carries out Visiting Professor activities. This activity is a lecture activity by guest lecturers from abroad, which is held for students and lecturers majoring in chemistry education. The purpose of visiting professor activities are to improve the quality of lectures, increasing international insight for students and lecturers, and open opportunities for cooperation in the fields of teaching, research, or publication.

In 2020, the Chemistry Education Study Program invites Associate Professor Dr. Daniel Tan from the National Institute of Education, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. He enjoys teaching chemistry education courses and received the Excellence in Teaching Commendation Award from the National Institute of Education in 2009 and 2014. The course materials given to UNY chemistry education students are Learning Assessment on September 22 and Concept Analysis on September 28. The active participation of students in this lecture activity shows their enthusiasm in studying the material provided by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Daniel Tan. Hopefully, this activity can provide learning motivation for students and insight into broad learning opportunities.
