Visitation of Internal Quality Audit of Chemistry Education Study Program, FMIPA, UNY

Monday, August 30, 2021, an Internal Quality Audit Visitation (AMI) for the Chemistry Education Study Program, FMIPA, UNY, has been carried out, at 11:00-13:00 WIB. Visitation is done online through Zoom Meeting. This year, two UNY internal auditors, namely Danar Widiyanta M. Hum and Prof Dr Drs Suroso, M. Pd. As an auditee, this visitation activity was attended by the Coordinator of the Chemistry Education Study Program, Dr. Antuni Wiyarsi, M.Sc, Quality Assurance Group for Chemistry Education Study Program, namely Dina, M.Pd.

The results of the visit have shown that the filling out of the audit instrument by the Chemistry  Education Study Program of UNY has been very good, accompanied by several supporting documents. However, there are several things that need to be done as an opportunity for improvement, including:

  1. As part of the Indonesian Chemical Association, Chemistry Education Study Program may attach a document on the results of a review of Graduate Learning Outcomes (CPL), and determine the level of depth/breadth of learning materials.
  2. The number of lecturers who implement Past Learning Recognition (RPL) needs to be taken into account. For example, students who take part in the Student Creativity Program (PKM) such as making soap from coffee waste, being marketed and having a trade permit, can be used as an assessment for relevant courses. Currently, UNY Chemistry Education Study Program students have participated in the Kampus Mengajar Program Campus-Independent Campus Program (MBKM) so that they can be considered as an assessment of the Educational Practices (PK) course.
  3. Study Programs can take into account workshop certificates or expertise from Chemistry Education Study Program lecturers such as lecturers who have certification as BAN-PT Assessors, and lecturers who have AMDAL certificates.
  4. Based on the results of the desk evaluation, it appears that the lecturers of the Chemistry Education Study Program, FMIPA UNY, are more involved in international seminars and scientific publications of research results, so it is necessary to have several lecturers participate in national/regional seminars or write on mass media both locally/nationally and internationally.
  5. Chemistry Education Study Program has carried out collaborative research with foreign countries. However, there have been no Community Service (PPM) activities carried out with financial assistance or foreign cooperation.

The implementation of internal audit activities is expected to have implications for improving the quality of the Chemistry Education Study Program, FMIPA UNY.
