UPSI AND YRU STUDENTS FINISHED CREDIT TRANSFER IN FMIPA UNY

Students of the University of Sultan Idris Education (UPSI) Malaysia consisting of Farah Nadia Binti Shukordi, Hastinah Binti Hamsah, and Mohd Khairy Izzuan Bin Moho Yusof have completed credit transfer for one semester at the Department of Chemistry, FMIPA UNY. The three of them studied at UNY from February to May 2018. The students took 4 courses namely Molecular Dynamics, Instrument Analysis Chemistry, Basic Organic Chemistry, and Non-Metallic Inorganics.

Farah Nadia, who is usually called Yaya when met on the FMIPA campus, Wednesday, 5/30/18 said, in the first week of college they experienced difficulties because there were differences in terms in chemistry so they needed to be adjusted again. What makes it easier is that there are lecturers teaching in English so we can understand them more easily. While Khairy explained that at our place (UPSI) there was no response. At UPSI for time in the laboratory, we determine for ourselves. The difficulty when determining the time by yourself is that if we are right in the lab, it turns out that there is equipment / material being used by other people, so we have to postpone using the equipment. Whereas here (FMIPA) the time is scheduled so that it becomes easier. The practicum hours between UNY and UPSI are almost the same duration.
Meanwhile Hastinah revealed that the lecturer here after explaining invited students to ask if there was anything unclear. If there is a lecturer at UPSI, the lecturer does not give students the opportunity to ask.

In addition to the three students from UPSI, the students who completed the credit transfer at FMIPA UNY were 10 students from Yala Rajabhat University, Thailand. A total of 7 people study at the Department of Biology Education, and 3 people at the Department of Chemistry Education. (witono)
