TEACHING PRACTITIONERS: MEDIA AND RESOURCES FOR LEARNING CHEMISTRY

Practical teaching is a program initiated by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia so that college graduates are better prepared to enter the world of work. This program encourages active collaboration between expert practitioners and champion lecturers to create a deep, meaningful exchange of knowledge and expertise between the academic community in higher education and professionals in the world of work. The Chemistry Education Study Program participated in this selection activity and produced one of the courses that passed the selection, namely Chemical Learning Media and Resources. This course is taught by Dina, M.Pd., and Metridewi Primastuti, M.Pd. Through this course, students learn about the meaning of learning media, the role and function of learning media, types of learning media, planning and selecting learning media, production techniques for learning media, and presentation techniques for chemistry learning media.

In accordance with the teaching practitioner scheme, the practitioner involved in this course is Ahamd Nurkholis Majid, M.Pd. He is a teacher at SMA Negeri 1 Bumiayu, with training experience in IHT Media Development 2021 as well as Microsoft Trainer Program Orbit Guru Merdeka 2023. Through this program, practitioners share knowledge with students for 9 meetings, including material on the implementation of conventional and social media-based learning media, games based learning, as well as media projects for chemistry learning to develop students' skills in designing chemistry learning.

It is hoped that student enthusiasm through question and answer discussions, assignments and projects can become a means of transferring in-depth and meaningful knowledge and expertise for students as prospective chemistry teachers.
