TASYAKURAN DIES NATALIS 66 YEARS DEPARTMENT OF CHEMISTRY EDUCATION FMIPA UNY

In 2022, the Chemistry Education Department, FMIPA UNY will enter its 66th year! To commemorate the anniversary, a series of Dies Natalis activities have been held. Chairman of the 66th Anniversary Committee, Alwan Mas'ud reported that the anniversary series had been held since September. Several competition activities such as POSKIM, Art Performances, Social Action and Webinar Series. The thanksgiving event is the highlight of the 66th Anniversary of the Department of Chemistry Education. The 66th Anniversary Celebration carries the theme "United in Gratitude, Building a Path, Creating Steps to Never Back Down".

 

The event began with remarks from the head of the chemistry education department, Dr. Retno Arianingrum. There were quite a lot of achievements for the Chemistry Department on this 66th Anniversary, including (1) Obtaining a grant for independent learning activities from the ministry and (2) ASIIN international accreditation fulfilled for 5 years. As for Dr. Retno also expressed her thanks to all parties involved in the activities for the 66th anniversary in 2022. Hopefully in the future the chemistry education department at FMIPA UNY will be even more successful.

 

The second speech was delivered by the Deputy Dean for Academic Affairs and Cooperation, Prof. Dr. Jaslin Ikhsan, M.AppSc, Ph.D. In terms of Human Resources (HR), the Department of Chemistry Education is considered to be the Department with the best quality human resources as evidenced by the highest positions of Professor and Associate Professor. Based on the recapitulation of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA), in other respects, the Department of Chemistry Education is the recipient of the largest grants from various fields, including research, service and competition. Not inferior to the achievements of lecturers, students of the Chemistry Education Department have also taken part in many competitions or competitions which have produced champions. So far, Yogyakarta State University (UNY) has obtained the best results in Main Performance Indicators (IKU). Therefore, FMIPA is trying to improve quality, namely by achieving the highest results in realizing KPI. Overseas partners who collaborate with the Chemistry Education Department make the Chemistry Department have the highest quantity. Reflecting that "if there is no improvement in life then you are at a loss, if there is no improvement then you are in trouble" therefore it is necessary to continue mapping the achievements of the Chemical Judiciary further, so that they can be realized with certain relevant strategies. Through his remarks, Prof. Jaslin officially opened the 2022 thanksgiving event.

As the peak event, the tumpeng cutting was carried out represented by the Senior Lecturer, Prof. Dr. Indyah Sulistro Arty, M.S. and Junior Lecturer, Metridewi Primastuti, M.Pd. Through his remarks, Prof. Indyah said that for 66 years Jurdik Kimia has provided education and produced human resources that are able to compete at home and abroad. As for students who are still studying at the Chemistry Department, they should continue to be enthusiastic about their studies so that they can improve the competency of graduates.

 

In this event chemistry education also presented Cania Mutia, S.Psi., M.Psi, she is one of the Psychology Lecturers at Yogyakarta State University. The material he delivered was regarding "How to Survive Your Quarter Life Crisis". He said that someone who has successfully passed the Quarter Life Crisis will have a more stable, resilient life and realize that unpleasant changes are sometimes needed in order to achieve what they want. The impact of QLC is that perceived instability can cause individual vulnerability to mental problems. Hopefully we can all get through the Quarter Life Crisis we are experiencing and continue to learn to be better.
