Friday, January 14, 2022, the Department of Chemistry Education, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta carried out the socialization of the approved 2020 MBKM curriculum. A total of 29 lecturers from the Department of Chemistry Education UNY participated in this meeting. The socialization was initiated by Dr. Antuni Wiyarsi as Coordinator of Chemistry Education S1 Study Program. The accreditation of the Chemical Education S1 Study Program by ASIIN is one of the references for the formulation of the Learning Outcome Program (PLO). Currently the Chemistry Education Study Program has 6 PLOs. The MBKM pattern that applies at UNY is the learning pattern: 5-1-2; 6-0-2; and 6-1-1. Each represents the obligation of the courses taken in the original study program, study program outside the university, and other study programs within the university. In this curriculum, a student's maximum study period is 12 semesters and there is no tolerance or extension. Lecture leave becomes the right of students for a maximum of 4 semesters, with a maximum period of 2 consecutive semesters.

Furthermore, Dr. Retno Arianingrum as the Coordinator of the Bachemor of Chemistry Study Program, conveyed the socialization of the MBKM 2020 curriculum for the Study Program. Currently, the chemistry study program has 80 main courses. Some courses have changed the number of credits and there is a shift from the main courses to elective courses so that the course codes are also different. In addition, students can take part in a certified internship which is equivalent to a weight of 20 credits with a maximum weight of 24 credits. In addition to being conveyed to lecturers, the curriculum for the Chemical Education Study Program and Chemistry Education Study Program will be disseminated to students. The hope is that socialization to the entire academic community can form the same perception about the implementation of the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka curriculum.
