Educational Internship (PK) is a compulsory practical course for students of the 7th semester of chemistry education study program. "Handover Ceremony of PK 2021 Students from Chemistry Education Study Program FMIPA UNY" was done on Friday 23 July 2021. This event was attended by the Head of the Chemistry Education Department, Secretary of the Chemistry Education Department, Coordinator of Chemistry Education Study Program, PK Coordinator for Chemistry Education Study Program, PK Chemistry Education Field Supervisor, Coordinator PK in Schools, PK Field Supervisors at Schools, and Students of Chemistry Education Study Program Participants in PK through Zoom Meetings.

As an opening, the Head of the Department of Chemistry Education, Dr. Retno Arianingrum gave a speech to 49 invited guests from schools, 7 lecturers majoring in chemistry education, and 44 students participating in PK. Thus, the PK student handover ceremony was delivered by the Coordinator of the Chemistry Education Study Program, Dr. Thank you Wiyarsi. As a symbol of acceptance from the school, represented by the Principal of SMA N 1 Kalasan, Mr. Basuki Jaka Purnama M.Pd. It is hoped that through the cooperation in the implementation of PK can provide the principle of mutual assistance and mutual benefit to the school and study program.

After the handover of PK students, Mr. Heru Pratomo Al. M.Si as Coordinator of Chemistry Education PK, delivered material on technical guidelines for implementation and PK assessment 2021. Several work programs can be developed individually or in student groups. Non-teaching programs such as training or assisting school administration, and teaching programs such as making learning media, teaching materials, evaluation instruments, based on observations made by students at school. The implementation of PK is means for students to develop scientific insight and professional attitude of responsibility in implementing their scientific fields in the world of work.
