FOREIGN COOPERATION RESEARCH FOR LECTURER OF CHEMISTRY EDUCATION PRODUCTS

Overseas Collaboration Research by Chemistry Education Study Program Lecturers is carried out to support increasing study program internationalization programs and lecturers' self-development. This research was funded by UNY and research partner Trabzon University. Collaborative research entitled "Examining the meaning of spring equinox and climate literacy awareness for middle-grade students from northern and southern hemisphere: A phenomenological study in Turkey and Indonesia" is motivated by the difference in the number of seasons experienced by students in Indonesia and Turkey, giving rise to different experiences. different for students. This phenomenological study specifically aims to describe the meaning and cognitive representation of middle school students in Indonesia and Turkey about seasons based on an earth-based perspective, analyze the level of climate literacy awareness of Indonesian middle school students and explore the experiences of Indonesian and Turkish students in Eratosthenes' experiments. Data collection was carried out at SMP Negeri 1 Yogyakarta, Indonesia and Dogankoy Middle School, Turkey. Two researchers from the Chemistry Education Study Program, Nur Fitriyana, M.Pd and Dr. Antuni Wiyarsi, M.Sc visited partner campuses on 9 -20 June 2022 to complete and analyze data. Visit to school and discussion of articles with collaborators by Assoc. Prof. Mirac Aydin took place on the campus of Trabzon University, Sogutlu, Trabzon Türkiye. It is hoped that this activity can improve the quality of higher education research as well as strengthen cooperative relations between the two State Universities and follow up in the future to expand cooperation in other fields.
