Cooperation Meeting:Chemistry Education Study Program UNY and Chemistry Study Program UIN Sunan Kalijaga

Head of Department of Chemistry Education, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, UNY, Dr. Retno Arianingrum, Coordinator of Chemistry Education Study Program, FMIPA UNY Dr. Antuni Wiyarsi, M.Sc., and the Curriculum and Implementation Cooperation Team (KSKI) of the Chemistry Education Study Program, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, UNY, held an initiation discussion with the Chemistry Study Program, Faculty of Science and Technology, UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta on Thursday, October 14, 2021. As one of the implementations independent learning activities, the collaboration that will be established is a chemical research internship. This research internship can be carried out by students from the Chemistry Education Study Program, FMIPA UNY, at the Chemistry Study Program, Faculty of Science and Technology, UIN Sunan Kalijaga, and vice versa.

On this occasion, Dr. Khurul Wardati as Dean of the Faculty of Science and Technology UIN Sunan Kalojaga Yogyakarta accompanied by the Vice Dean for Academic Affairs Dr. Shofwatul'uyun, Administration, General Affairs, Planning, and Finance Dr. Arifah Khusnuryani, and Student Affairs and Cooperation Dr. Fathurrohman, said that there have been many collaborations between faculties at other universities, so that study programs at the Faculty of Science and Technology can carry out any activity under the cooperation of the faculties. The collaboration between faculties encourages independent learning activities to be more optimal for all parties. In this initiation discussion, the proposal from the Chemistry Education Study Program, FMIPA UNY, was the implementation of a research internship collaboration, so that it would be developed until an interfaculty agreement from both parties. Mr. Karmanto, M.Sc from the Chemistry Study Program of UIN Sunan Kalijaga also said that as a supervisor for the students of the Chemical Education Study Program, UNY did a research internship at the Chemistry Study Program of the FST Sunan Kalijaga UIN. Through the initiation of this collaboration, it is hoped that it will provide benefits for all parties. As for the students of our UIN Chemistry Study Program, they can also do internships in the Department of Chemistry Education, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, UNY.

As a follow-up, the field of cooperation between FST UIN Sunan Kalijaga and FMIPAUNY will communicate with each other for collaboration between faculties. Two students of Chemistry Education Study Program, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, UNY, namely Yulinda Ristiyani and Sherly Hariyanti, are scheduled to do internships from October to November 2021.
