This year Chemistry Education Department of FMIPA UNY commemorates its 64th anniversary. The theme for this year's anniversary is millions of works of thousands of love towards one goal with alumni and partners. One of the activities held by the Department of Chemistry Education, FMIPA, UNY to celebrate the anniversary is by holding a special competition for alumni. The competitions held for alumni include a green chemistry video competition for the community and an ICT-based chemistry learning media competition for high school/ vocational high school students. The general provisions of this competition for alumni include: (1) participation in the competition is individual, (2) is an alumni majoring in chemistry education, FMIPA, UNY, both graduates of chemistry study programs and chemistry education, (3) not having the status of a lecturer at UNY, ( 4) The work made is done through Google Drive and then the link is in the Google Forum registration form via the http://bit.ly/PENDAFTARAN-LOMBA-ALUMNI page. The facilities offered by this special competition for alumni are electronic certificates, with a total prize pool of Rp. 5,000,000, and the winners will receive an invitation to celebrate the Dies Natalis Jurdik Kimia.

Five Webinar series are also part of a series of events that will be held to commemorate the anniversary of the UNY Chemistry Education Department in 2020. The first webinar will be held on Friday 2 October, followed by Webinar series 2 to 5 every Saturday 3, 10, 17 and October 24th. The Webinar Series carried out through Zoom Cloud by presenting the expertise in the fields of Chemistry and Chemical Education of Tukri, Malaysia, BATAN, UPI Bandung and UNY.
