MIPA EXPO 2023 which was held for 3 days from Monday-Wednesday (29-31/5/23) in the courtyard of the FMIPA UNY dean building was lively. The event was opened by UNY's Deputy Chancellor for Planning and Finance, Prof. Dr. Lantip Diat Prasojo, S.T., M.Pd. The opening was marked by the release of balloons into the air followed by other attendees.

Present on this occasion were university leaders, deans/heads of institutions, and other officials. Prof. Lantip in his speech said that the MIPA EXPO activity was an opportunity to display students' creative work. Apart from that, it is also an opportunity to train the spirit of entrepreneurship and entrepreneurship. UNY is now a PTN-BH, there needs to be a change in mindset, namely how we can increase income generating. We have to save money to meet our needs in order to get to an international class university. FMIPA has extraordinary potential such as batik, herbal medicine, etc. to increase income generating.

Meanwhile, the Dean of FMIPA, Prof. Dr. Ariswan, M.Si., explained that this activity was a series of activities for UNY's 59th Anniversary. With this MIPA EXPO activity, the series of UNY anniversary activities will be complete. "MIPA EXPO is present with 32 booths which include faculty organizations, departments, with supporting booths from the Indonesian Orchid Association, as well as culinary booths. "MIPA EXPO was also enlivened with competition activities which were participated in by high school students, namely acoustic competitions, singing competitions, dancing competitions and eco-print batik competitions," he continued. Apart from competitions for high school students, MIPA EXPO also included various performances from FMIPA students with various performances in the arts such as dance, band, singing, etc. The announcement of the competition and receipt of the championship trophy will be held on the last day of the activity.
