CHEMISTRY EDUCATION DEPARTMENT LECTURER IMPLEMENTING PKM AT SMA N 6 YOGYAKARTA

Community Service is an activity that aims to help the community in several activities without expecting compensation in any form and is part of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education. The PkM Team of the Department of Chemical Education, consisting of Mr. Erfan Priyambodo, Mrs. Siti Marwati, Mrs. Das Salirawati, Mr. Sukisman Purtadi, Mr. Jaslin Ikhsan and Mr. Agus Salim, carried out service at SMA N 6 Yogyakarta with the title Residue Waste Management Training as Support for Implementation Development Adiwiyata School Predicate.

This activity was carried out twice, where on September 29 2023, residual waste management training was carried out for Adiwiyata cadre students. PkM activities ran smoothly with full support from the school. This is because SMA N 6 Yogyakarta is one of the schools in the Special Region of Yogyakarta Province which has received the title of Adiwiyata Mandiri School. Various efforts have been made to maintain this title. Starting from vision, mission, goals and self-development integrated into the environment. A culture of environmental care must be embedded in every school member, love of the environment is a social character that must exist in every school member. All learning and extracurricular activities are integrated with environmental awareness. Not only students are involved in the program, but teachers and employees take part in the program.

In this activity, the PkM team gave an example of how to turn mask waste into crafts. The training participants (students) were quite enthusiastic while participating in PkM activities. Discussions flowed during the activity.
